El jugador declaró a la televisión del Mónaco que siente "mucha emoción", y destacó que después de lo que ha vivido, en alusión velada a su reciente enfermedad, "no es fácil tener la confianza de un club".
"Estoy contento porque el Mónaco tiene confianza en mí, yo tengo confianza en ellos y voy a hacer todo lo posible para mantenerla", agregó.
Comentó que el fichaje "es una vuelta a los orígenes", puesto que jugó con el Mónaco hasta hace trece años, y dijo: "estoy contento de poder volver en condiciones que son diferentes porque he evolucionado".
"Fui campeón el año pasado, he trabajado enormemente para llegar a la elite... así que estoy muy contento de poder participar en esta aventura", declaró.
Destacó que este regreso es "muy especial" porque le trae "muchos recuerdos. Ahora voy a intentar escribir una página en la historia del Mónaco", añadió.
